Interreg SEEDS launches call for expressions of interest to join cross-border community of practice for cultural and creative SMEs and professionals

Puglia Culture, as part of the SEEDS project, funded by the Interreg IPA South Adriatic 2021-2027 Programme, has launched a survey on theatrical production, distribution, and international cooperation in the South Adriatic-Balkan region to map the current state of the art and define development trajectories in the sector.

The Call for Expressions of Interest is also open for participation in the SEEDS Project's Cross-border Community of Practices of the Cultural and Creative Industries SMEs and Professionals (hereinafter ICC). This Community of Practice will promote the free exchange of ideas, knowledge, initiatives, and opportunities among participants, encourage their professional development, foster the development of best practices, outline virtuous paths that foster innovation, encourage exchange and collaboration between different territories, develop professional relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to the creation and dissemination of knowledge on the cultural and creative sectors.

Those who express valid interest will be able to:

• Participate in the needs analysis of the "Artistic Production and Distribution" sector;

• Contribute to the development of the "Cross-Border Strategy for Cultural Creative Industry Enhancement"

• Sign the agreement for the creation of the “Cross-Border System for Artistic Distribution and Production”, an international network to support the development of the artistic production and distribution system in the South Adriatic Area; 

• Participate in workshops and focus groups aimed at increasing the capacity of businesses and Cultural Creative Industry operators. These workshops will be led by subject-specific experts who will share their expertise and facilitate participatory discussions among participants, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and best practices. The focus will be on improving businesses' ability to promote themselves and network with one another, in order to offer increasingly competitive services on the market. The workshops will be held between April and October 2026; 

• Benefit from the support and consultancy path to support the development of entrepreneurial ideas and the structuring of business initiatives in the Cultural Creative Industry sector, followed by the members of the SEEDS Advisory Hub Helpdesk, which also includes a Convention with international stakeholders with whom to share project activities; 

• Attend at least two organizational meetings with Puglia Culture. Meetings can be held remotely or in person.

The SEEDS Project will conclude with a showcase in Puglia and an international Pilot Action/Festival in the partner countries.

The call is open to entities producing and/or programming and/or distributing live theater and/or dance performances, established under any legal form, and meeting the following requirements:

  1. have a VAT number/Code referring to an activity code (ATECO) that includes the production and/or programming and/or distribution of live theater and/or dance performances. In the absence of an ATECO code, reference will be made to the activities indicated in the bylaws;
  2. have their registered office or operational headquarters in Puglia as of January 1, 2022. In the case of operator networks, at least one of the entities participating in the network must have their registered office or operational headquarters in Puglia as of January 1, 2022.
